From Grumpy on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 8:29:12 PM
This should have been out in August!!! A bunch of folks that might have been there maybe can't now because of short notice...
From Zack Berg, Owner (verified) on Thursday, October 22, 2009 2:30:41 PM
sorry but in aug. we had pumpkins growing, but we do have a very large response from 4x4 clubs across the N.W. so you can at least come out and enjoy watching. p.s. this will be an annual event, also there's talk about maybe a march event.
From mdog on Thursday, October 22, 2009 9:58:01 AM
Hope to see a good turnout. We need more events in the tri cities for the 4x4's.Interested in seeing what they come up with for a rock crawl.
From Phloop on Thursday, October 22, 2009 1:52:54 PM
Where would a Samurai fit in to this fun? No mention on any 4 cyl. rigs.
From Zack Berg, Owner (verified) on Thursday, October 22, 2009 2:32:14 PM
bring it on, i know a sami can hang with most 6cyl.
From Jamie Mirus on Thursday, October 22, 2009 2:22:26 PM
This sounds like a blast. We need to get the word out so there is a great turnout, so we can have more events like this. So cut and paste and start facebooking and my spacing everyone and tell them to get out here.

From Jimmy on Saturday, October 24, 2009 10:01:59 AM
Mud fest? I think they have a couple of those already. Why not somthin like"4xwars" or something. sounds like mud is one aspect. Also most 6 banger people have larger then 35" tires. Evergreen stae people seem to be confused about this and keep placing them with mod v8's. It should just read 6 cyl. or have 2 classes. 33" and under and 33" over. Cause most people with 6 cyl. that have less then a 35" tire are driveing street rigs with less then 31" tires. Come on now. What
From event planner on Sunday, November 01, 2009 6:58:17 PM
sorry if u dont like the name your not the first jimmy ive heard of. As for the classes that is not the first mud bog to use classes like this, if you get more than 8 people even running in the 6cyl you are doing good so it doesn't work to break up that class it takes more time and the pay out for the 6cyl would be less
From Jim M. on Sunday, October 25, 2009 11:59:15 AM
Looks like I'll be coming if I can get the Jeep back together.  Looking at maybe entering multiple events.  I have wifey approval. ;)
From Jim M. on Sunday, October 25, 2009 12:02:35 PM
Questions:
How long is the drag strip?
Is the mud bog a drag or does it have corners?
Are there going to be a bunch of jumps on the "tuff track" and what about water hazards?
Is the Rock course already set up so I can look at it beforehand?
From Zack Berg, Owner (verified) on Monday, October 26, 2009 3:26:04 PM
the drag strip is 300' long. the mud bog is a drag, no corners. yes there will be jumps and bogs on the tuff truck track.  and no the rock crawl track will be set up on the week of Nov. 2, we'll see you there.
From gary on Friday, October 30, 2009 5:32:11 PM
will it be side by side mud racing?
Also there's a lot of ? about the tires/class
can you elaborate on that!
From cephus on Sunday, October 25, 2009 2:28:27 PM
are passengers going to be allowed??? places like bonanza drag strip in walla walla allow passengers and its always a better experience when you get to share the ride with another
From Zack Berg, Owner (verified) on Monday, October 26, 2009 3:30:22 PM
sorry but our insurance will not allow that, but i do agree it would be fun. hope to see you there.

If cut tires are going to be
(Class 600 Unlimited) your going to have a lot of people that wont run! there's lots of Suzuki/Toyota/jeeps/and pickups with cut tires!   Just make sure if ONE rig with cut tires has to run 600 class they all have to!!
From jeeper on Friday, October 30, 2009 7:47:27 AM
I cant run my jeep in the Unlimited class against v8s and paddle tires. I wont be there!
From bill on Friday, October 30, 2009 8:10:48 AM
that's bull  My 4cly can't run with that class.  no place else has that cut tire rule
From needapull on Friday, October 30, 2009 8:16:30 AM
4 bangers have to run x class rigs with paddles That's a laugh
From gearhead on Friday, October 30, 2009 9:05:02 AM
You guys are right - cut tires should not matter with all the other rules in place. The event will lose some entries because of it.
From 4X4FAN on Friday, October 30, 2009 12:01:36 PM
I can't wait to see the guy in a toyota 4 cyl. and cut BFG's race the guy with a blown alcohol big block with paddles. That is competition at it's best. Whoever assigns the classes is going to be arguing all morning.
From Dave on Friday, October 30, 2009 12:31:17 PM
That sucks  I just cut mine!
From event planner on Sunday, November 01, 2009 6:23:23 PM
small grooves and siping will not be included in the cut tire classification but if your tires have complete lugs removed or your cut to the cords expect to be in the x class, our tech guy has been running bogs for 25 years ond is very fair.
From event planner on Sunday, November 01, 2009 6:50:25 PM
if your running comp cut tires on your 4cyl you will be in the x class or run a different set of tires.
From Darren nelson on Thursday, October 29, 2009 6:32:01 PM
What will the mud bog format be? side by side racing? 2 mud pits dbl elimination? or is this going to be a timed event?
From event planner on Sunday, November 01, 2009 6:39:38 PM
it will be side by side 2 losses and your out and we will be trying get every one at least one pass in both lanes.
From bone on Friday, October 30, 2009 2:58:49 PM
go by horsepower not tire size and more people will attend
From gary on Friday, October 30, 2009 5:28:07 PM
Did you mean engine size? there's a lot of 350 Chevy's with chrome valve covers and a set of headers with a cater afb carb that's making 500 HP if you ask the owner  LOL
I think the same rules that apply to all the mud bogs should work!
Unlimited rigs have always been---- paddles, fiberglass, supercharger, nos, turbo!
From VikesRule on Friday, October 30, 2009 6:37:11 PM
Zack - you should consider modifying your "cut tires" rule. Many of us with cut tires don't want to race the big dogs and have no chance. In my experience, cut tires don't automatically mean "unlimited".
From jeeper on Friday, October 30, 2009 8:46:36 PM
You have my vote
From 4WheelingPlus.com on Friday, October 30, 2009 11:17:45 PM
Can I enter my diesel "V8" in the 4x4 Dirt Drag Race Class 300 since it only has 32" tires?
From Ryan M on Saturday, October 31, 2009 9:08:48 AM
Sweet Ron bring that diesel of yours on down, we'll all be there.

I think you guys are thinking too hard about the "cut tire" rule.  In sanctioned mud drag events that refers to DRASTIC cutting such as losing all the small lugs on a bogger to make them far more aggressive in the mud.  A grooved trail tire is a different animal.
From jeeper on Saturday, October 31, 2009 9:55:35 AM
some will never get it  !!!!
From jeeper on Saturday, October 31, 2009 9:56:54 AM
if it has a turbo you will have to run unlimited class 600
From bill on Sunday, November 01, 2009 9:22:59 AM
if it has a   Aftermarket Turbo not a stock turbo
From Ryan M on Saturday, October 31, 2009 3:03:07 PM

I sure wish I knew about this sooner. I've other plans for this weekend.
From 4WheelingPlus.com on Sunday, November 01, 2009 10:55:38 AM
A stock truck with 32" tires in the 600 class? Doesn't seem fair????

Your lucky my other "crew cab" isn't finished. LOL!!!

Actually: I'm lucky it's not finished as I would likely win the best looking "boat anchor" award when it sank to the bottom of the bog.
From needapull on Sunday, November 01, 2009 3:46:30 PM
you have cut tires too
From event planner on Sunday, November 01, 2009 6:30:32 PM

Is Herman Munster going with his Munster mud turd ?
From gearhead on Sunday, November 01, 2009 7:20:43 PM
Damn -now I have the Munster's theme song stuck in my head. Hope he shows up. Can't wait to see him beat down some four cylinder with "cut" boggers. What a stupid bass ackwards rule but it does favor certain trucks. The only mods allowed are huge lifts and tires if you want to race anything less than unlimited.
From event planner on Sunday, November 01, 2009 9:48:48 PM
wow, you will just have to come and check it out I think you might be surprised how well the classes work. All of this negative input will not change any thing and no one is going to make you race. there will be plenty of entertainment for those who want to just watch.
From FamilyFriend on Sunday, November 01, 2009 7:34:35 PM
Last time  I checked, this website wasn't a chat room, if you don't like how it sounds, don't participate, the owner sets the rules. If you have some suggestions, maybe do them in a nice manner. Otherwise, don't say anything at all.

From Zack Berg, Owner (verified) on Monday, November 02, 2009 10:56:52 AM
there will be multiple events going on at the same time and we are planning on people wanting to do multiple events, so we're going to run different classes at the same time on different events to allow for people to participate in multiple events.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
From Josh on Monday, November 02, 2009 7:38:23 PM
Is the $10 general admission required for participants, or just spectators? So if I want to do the mud bog, is it 25+10=$35
Also, is there an admission charge for little kids? Thanks, Looking forward to a good time!
From Zack Berg, Owner (verified) on Monday, November 02, 2009 8:53:36 PM
If you are participating then you will only be required to pay the according fees for each category, you will not be required to pay the $10 admission fee which is for spectators. Children  under 3 years of age are free.

From Bad manners on Tuesday, November 03, 2009 2:29:38 PM
looks to me like the rules have changed!
So now cut tires wont be in the unlimited class 600 !!!  sounds good to me!   Paddle tires belong in that class not cut tires (just my 2 cents)
There are several competitors including myself that like to run 2 classes, so that leaves it open to pay $ for both, and more run time for us!  win win for everyone!

The safety rules on the tech sheet are funny! Half the rednecks around here don't even own a Long-Sleeved shirt!  and a Fire Extinguisher?
How they going to keep the water in the bucket when there racing?
So if they don't have all the requirements they wont be able to race?  there's going to be a big run on Fire Extinguishers at Walmart!
From joe on Wednesday, November 04, 2009 10:35:24 AM
who ever does the tech needs to stick to the rules it seems like everywhere i go there are only a few people that have fire extinguishers and the last race i was at people needed one and i was the only one to have one its a saftey thing
From All Seasons (verified) on Wednesday, November 04, 2009 12:17:22 PM
Joe,
Thanks so much for backing up what we say. And yes, you're right, it's better to be safe than sorry. You never know when you'll need a fire extinguisher. And...if we didn't put it on the sheet and then something happened, we'd probably be blamed for not having it on the sheet.
From joe on Wednesday, November 04, 2009 12:28:55 PM
not only should it be on the sheet it need to be inforced
From joe on Wednesday, November 04, 2009 10:38:07 AM

few questions...
*Will passengers be allowed during races? if so, will it cost them to ride along?
*Also, I don't want to assume, will there be "pit pass" fees over and above a spectator ticket for those who aren't racin' but are there with a crew?
From All Seasons (verified) on Wednesday, November 04, 2009 8:52:35 PM
Hi Justice, thanks for your questions. As we had responded to a prior question about "ride-a-longs", NO. Passengers will not be allowed because of insurance liability.
As for the "pit passes". If you choose to have someone in your crew, they admission for them is $12 total. It is the admission rate of $10 + $2. They will have a wrist band just like yours.
